Can I settle a debt even if the contract is not yet over?

I am really under a timeline here! I want to get rid of a debt, i made a one year contract with a trainer and well the contract is over Feb 2012. I really want to settle this debt of 1,177 and still counting with atleast half the amount I cant not pay full. Is It possible?

When you sign a contract, you are bound to the terms of the contract. There is no way to state what you can or cannot do without the contract being reviewed for all clauses. You can negotiate for a cancellation of the contract. If you do not fulfill the payments, you can be sued in court. You need to be careful in signing a contract. Bankruptcy is an option but it has other affects about future loans and if you have assets, you can lose them. Read each line of the contract to see what is and is not possible.
