Can I/ Shoud I/ How would I file for a bankruptcy?

I am a 22 yr old, 4th year university student with like 7 thousand dollars in credit card debt. I have part time job, that pays for my rent and car insurance, and some food. I get my tuition form my parents. But since this is my last semester I wont get any more tuition form them. I am really stressed up right now. Can I file for bankruptcy? What is the procedure.

$7000 is not alot of money once you get a decent job. Don’t file bankrutcpy, because that will hurt your future employment chances, if a future employer checks your credit history. If you live below you means and get say a 40k job after you graduate you can pay that off in six months.
Consolidate your loan and make payments you can afford. Besides this will teach to be responsible and will help you in other areas of your life as struggles come forth.

Work hard at it and pay your bills.

Sorry, but I don’t believe filing for bankrupcy wipes away credit card debit.

I would look into getting a loan from the school. If you qualify, there might be some loans out there where you don’t have to pay back until you graduate from school.

    Good luck!

sure, if you want to ruin your credit for the next 7 to 10 years and your chances of getting a good job when you graduate go ahead. Prospective employers look at credit reports. Can you ask your parents if they can loan you the money to pay the cards off if you pay them back when you get a job after you graduate?
