Can you file Chapter 13 bankruptcy if you have filed Chapter 7?

I filed Chapter 7 three years ago, does that disqualify me from filing a Chapter 13 before seven years or ten years? Thanks for the thoughtful responses.

Under the new bankruptcy laws, you are allowed to file Chapter 13 after years of a Chapter 7 discharge. You can NOT file another Chapter 7 for 8 years.

So you filed for bankruptcy and need to file again? Didn’t you learn your lesson the first time around?

  3. what?:

once you file bankruptcy (any chapter) you can NEVER file bankruptcy ever again (any chapter).

‘by what’ is DEAD wrong. I d not recall the time requirements, but you CAN file bankruptcy more than once in the US.
