Can you still file bankruptcy after you have already recieved a court summons?
I am about to file ch 7 but a company I owe already sent me court papers in a law suit. I retained a lawyer six months ago but have not filed it yet. Thanks for any advice..

yes. All the time. Buut now is usually better than later. It depends on your economic condition and what you expect to accomplish withthe bankruptcy. Sometimes it is better to wait. If you have a lawyer then you might consider his or her advice. Who does your heart surgery? and when?
