A member of my family has been careless and wasteful with his finances and is now, for the second time, finding himself in over 100,000$ worth of debt, unable to find a job, and has ruined his reputation in his field all over the city/state.
Can he file for bankruptcy again, or can you only do that once?
Will he end up in prison if he can’t pay his debt?
I have about 30,000 in cc debt, so will that get wiped away if I file BK? If everyone else is doing it, why shoud I get stuck with my bill?

I filed for chapter 13 bankruptcy 2 months ago. However I lost my job and have not given one payment. If I fall behind two payments, my case will be dismissed. I needed to know if it’s cancelled, can I file right after or do I have to wait longer? And is it in my credit already even though it was cancelled and no payment given? A house I am buying in Las Vegas, Nevada is still in escrow and I am just waiting for order from the court for release property from the bankrupty court which would happen when all the payments to the trustee are fully paid. Unfortunately, the case was closed for non compliance of payment. Since the Bankruptcy case is now closed, and the debtor( seller of the property I am buying) is no longer protected by Chapter 13 from all her debts which went back to ,000. What happens to the house I am buying now that the bankruptcy case is closed? Can the debtors run after the property which is now in escrow?

The law firm office keep on calling me and they wanted me to pay 5k for my credit card. But I dont have any job and no savings. Thats why I wanted to file for bankruptcy.
My hubby makes ,000/year, but over the past 3 years, over 60% of his income has been going towards debt payment alone, meaning we have been living EXTREMELY TIGHT for 3 years now. We are now only down to ,000 and my husband is thinking about filing NOW, after all we have already paid off! Is filing worth it?

All payments were made on time through garnishment from paycheck. Late payments were posted in 2007-2009, but I filed in 2006. Is it even legal for them to post late payments while in Chapter 13.
