Stick with your non-profit (you shouldn&#039;t be paying very much each month to them--99.9% of your payment should be going to your creditors.)
Tell them  your situation and they should work with you--they want to help you get back on your feet and aren&#039;t predatory like those companies trying to &quot;help you settle your debts for pennies on the dollar&quot;.

Keep faith and make sure you have cut EVERYTHING out of your budget that is not completely necessary for sustaining life (soda, cable, and INTERNET are not necessary!)

		<description>I would avoid debt settlement companies. I work for  a large bank and once we receive the limited power of attorney and cease and desist order, we immediately send it to legal. It doesn&#039;t matter if you are just 1 day past due, we send all accounts off to sue the debtor. Most banks do not deal with these companies. I know that Bank of America, GE Money, Citi, HSBC, and JP Morgan Chase do not deal with these types of companies. I would stick with CCCS.</description>
