How can I file bankruptcy cheaply?

I dont have much money and want to file within the next 2 months.
Can I do things myself instead of a lawyer?

    You can do it yourself, BUT I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST IT!!! Not to seem overbearing, but I see hundreds of petitions weekly and without fail the Pro Se petitions are Dismissed. You want a Discharge, not a Dismissal. Hire an attorney, place his fees in the petition, pay it out over time. You will be much, much happier with the results.

    You can do it yourself for about $250…but, that prospect just seems so scary to me. The average person has no idea what they are doing, and you could get yourself into worse shape than you are in at the present!

    Some bankruptcy lawyers will work on a payment plan with you.
