Jesus Baby! You don’t even know who you owe? Call Experian and TransUnion and get a free credit report. Then call the companies on it.

July 27th, 2009 at 9:25 pmWell, first off, sorry that you feel you need to resort to that. Truly, if you don’t know your indebtedness, I would argue that you have no business filing bankruptcy.
But that aside, you should be able to gather up all your bills for the past several months and add up the balances owed to all your creditors. Add up any past due utilities or phone bills as well.
However, I would strongly urge you seek out a reputable credit counseling firm in your area. They can work with you and your creditors to keep them all paid but at a lesser level than their ‘normal’ payment. Bankruptcy should be a last resort after all other options are explored.
Good luck!
