How long do you have to wait to try and purchase a home after filing Chapter 13?… What or where are the banks that will finance a mortgage while in a Chapter 13?…
You aren’t going to get a loan while you are in Ch. 13. When it is completed and you have two years clean experience, you may find a lender who will do it.
Be sure to pay all bills very promptly. Utility and rent payments will help establish credit worthiness.
Get to know a local banker. Let them know your long-term plans. Don’t ask for anything now but check with them a year later. Stay in touch. Handle all your bank accounts very responsibility. You can’t afford any time of error.
