How should I balance School and Work?
I work 50+ hours a week and go to school full time. I just recently signed up for 6 classes over the summer and feel I may not have the time to balance both. I did it last semester and found myself stressed more then I have ever been. I work out as well to keep stress levels down but feel my social life is at an all time low. I have stacks of bills to pay every month and without the job I could go bankrupt. I have alot of dreams and aspirations! What should I do!? If I Drop some classes it could take me years to get a BA if I dont work then how will I pay for college/rent/bills! Help!
Take no more than three classes. This is doable with your current work load. It will take longer to get your degree, but that will not really matter in the end. There are tons of unemployed people with degrees and no job prospects. Just because you complete you degree does not automatically translate into more dollars.
February 21st, 2010 at 7:02 pmYou could apply for a governmental or private student loan. That way you can pay your tuition fees with it and work less hours. When your studies are complete then you can pay off your debt as you will be earner higher salary at a full time wage. Im sure you can pay off your rent and bills with less hours of work then. If you are a brilliant academic student then you can apply for a scholarship instead. Plenty of Organizations as well as institutions hand out scholarships to academic students. If nothing is working out then ask your parents and im sure they will help you finance your studies.
