I filed bankruptcy in 2003. What happens if I have to file bankruptcy again.?
I filed bankruptcy before I never imagened that I would ever let myself get in this kind of trouble again. But I have bill collectors calling and now threatning to garnish wages . Most of what I owe is late and over limit fees. I bareley have enough money coming in now to just survive. what can I do?

As prior posts stated, depends on what chapter you filed. If it’s a chapter 7…it is 8 years, not 7 years, leading you to have to file a chapter 13 bankruptcy payment plan. You can review this website for information on the time frame of filing for bankruptcy

Good Luck!
November 10th, 2009 at 7:05 pmDepending upon what type of bankruptcy you filed in 2003, you may be eligible again for discharge. In any case, you can actually file for bankruptcy now, which will create a window of opportunity to pay down some of the debts without the hassle of bill collectors, and maybe even some fees. As noted, however, you may not be eligible for discharge, which means the debts won’t actually go away. You really need to see a bankruptcy lawyer.

You need to find someone who can sit down with you, and figure out a budget…..
also only make purchases you can pay cash for… put away your credit cards, and bank card…my guess is your bank debit card is what got you in trouble….
