If I file Chapter 7 bankruptcy what happens?

I am trying to decide if I want to file bankruptcy. I know that filing bankruptcy will not cover student loans. But I have student loans and owing a school. If I file bankruptcy will the money I owe the school be included? Also will it include back taxes from 2007?

Thanks!
I owe the school and i have student loans. I know the student loans aren’t included but what about the money I owe to the school?

School — probably, but it depends upon the terms of the loan.

    Taxes — no, not usually.

Keep in mind that just because you want to file Chapter 7 doesn’t mean you can. You must qualify first. Talk to a lawyer.

You might be able to avoid bankruptcy all together, visit http://www.besthelpfinancial.com/bankruptcy.html to see if you really need to file for bankruptcy and what some alternatives might be.
