    In a word…

    NO!!!!!!…..

It’s not a good idea to try to do it yourself.

No, not a good idea. Bankruptcy law is complicated and everything must be filed just so. Making one mistake can cause the filing to get tossed and you would not be able to re-file for 7 years.

I did my own, but then, I am a lawyer myself (just not a BK lawyer). And I wish I had had enough money to hire an attorney to represent me, because even I, a person with legal training, made some mistakes. Let a professional handle it for you, it’s better.

If your brakes went out, would it be wise to fix them yourself?

If you had a toothache, would it be wise to pull the tooth yourself?

If you broke your arm, would it be wise to reset and cast it yourself?

Nearly all consumer bankruptcy attorneys offer free consultations. Take advantage of this to meet with one and get advice based on all of the details of your particular situation. You can find a referral at NACBA.org (National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys).

not really, although it is possible.
paying the shark should be possible in a BK because no one else is going to be getting anything.
    excpet maybe the IRS

I don’t think filing bankruptcy without lawyer can be good option.Bankruptcy attorney is best option to file your bankruptcy. You can file your own but why are taking risk.

My suggestion is to hire bankruptcy attorney…you can check free evaluation of your financial status from attorney.
