Is the united states and america going to be bankrupt very soon?
Given all the expences it cost to maintain a nation, surley the us must be broke by now..so how come the value of the dollar is increasing.. will the dollar drop in value soon and become only paper?
We are deficit so to speak but not bankrupt as U.S.A. haven’t filed nor declared bankruptcy in the IMF or International Monetary Fund yet.
In light to your query, United States maybe facing problems outside and inside its boarders but we are the only nation on earth that controls the interest rate and have the luxury of having the Federal Reserve at it’s dispense.

September 2nd, 2010 at 11:53 pmI reckon the economy in America will continue to weaken and face long-term problems, sure. But "Bankrupt" may be stretching it a bit.
September 2nd, 2010 at 11:53 pmNo..I guess better policies could still pull us back.
The dollar value doesn’t only depend on the onshore operations. It has got a lot to do with our offshore trade revenues. The impact of such operations across south east Asia and Europe does affect our market worth.
