Should I file bankruptcy?
I’m 23 years old. Last year I was in a car accident and now I owe thousand something to the insurance company. I missed my payment last month and now they want to file a lawsuit. Meanwhile I’m paying 0 a month for a car I don’t even have anymore. The biggest thing on my credit report is a 0 medical bill. Just seems like there isn’t enough money coming in to pay everything every month. Should I file for bankruptcy? I really really don’t want to do this.

You are far from the point where bankruptcy is wise. Save up and pay it all off. Most creditors will work with you. There is no way the insurance company will sue you after only one month. Just start paying again.
July 29th, 2010 at 7:00 pmThat does not sound anywhere close to enough debt to file bankruptcy. You need to sit down with someone good at setting budgets and financial planning on come up with a strategy to wipe out those debts. Good luck.
