I currently owe 00 in hospital bills. But have no way to pay them off. No one in my family has much to give, even if they were willing to help out.
I am currently 24 years old, with just a part time job, making very little money. I was thinking of moving back to the philippines where tuition for school woud be cheaper, and i can get a degree in nursing.
I’m trying to think of what the best thing for me to do is.
What are the disadvantages of filing for bankruptcy?
Please help anyone. I really need it.

for those that asked, trust me i am looking real hard to find a job that pays more money, and i am willing to work hard no matter what kind of job it is.
I need to do more research on bankruptcy, how much would it cost me to file, for 00 medical bill?

I really want to buy a house in the future, hopefully before age 32, but how hard would that be if i’m in bankruptcy?

Hi, I’m 24 years old and I graduated college in 2008. I have student loans totaling approximately ,000. On top of that, I made some bad judgments when it comes to credit and I have the following bills that are in the hands of debt collectors:
- 0 BofA credit card debt from 2005.
- 0 T-Mobile debt from early 2009 (I am disputing this amount – I received an early termination fee after I cancelled my phone contract 2 weeks early because I had absolutely no service in the county I was visiting for 2 months).

I am trying to build my credit score (it is 520 currently) and begin getting out of debt. I earn ,000 in one of the most expensive cities in the country. I have no savings and I currently own no credit cards at all. I’m not really sure how I should start building a healthy credit future.

Should I pay my BofA credit card debt in full? I was told that begining to make payments opens the debt again and it will be on my credit report for an additional 7 years as opposed to being wiped clean by 2012.

What are my best options for beginning to pay off my students loans (they are all government loans)? I am currently paying around /month, should I pay more and forget about my other debts?

What are my best options for beginning to save? Should I just open a traditional savings account or should I look into other options?

How I can I get negative things taken off my credit report? Can I get negative things taken off by the creditor once I settle the debt in full?

I have about 11,000 in debt old credit cards, small loans things like that. i have been told by a few to file Bankruptcy. (my debt consolidation,parents etc) im 24 years old and i dont think that is a good idea i have a payment plan set up with 4 credit cards thats about 3500 which will take me about a year to pay. Then i will have less then 8,000 i have a 2001 mercury cougar which is paid off but the title is in my dad’s name that i wanted to get a loan to pay the rest of the debt. Is that a good plan or should i file?
all the debts are old and charged off so there will be nothing else added to them i have had them since i was about 19

I am 24 years old and I am considering filing for bankruptcy. I know that there is a good chance I’ll be able to keep my car because I still owe money on it and I’ve been makinng those payments successfully, but I’m worried that filing will seriously effect my ability to one day become a home owner. I have a very good credit score. I have never made a late payment on anything in my life. However, I am foreseeing disaster and see no way out of it. My debt is about 17K in credit cards and student loans of about 10K so a total of 27K. I am not worried about the student loans, since I am in school and so they are currently "on hold" till I finish and when I am expected to pay them its only like 0 per month for ten years. However my credit cards are getting worse and worse and the only way I can make myself stop relying on them is to wipe them out. Unfortunately I have practically zero income (about 0 per month) and I am in college and live with mom. I am 24 years old. This is pretty sad, I know, but I think I have to file soon. Its a shame because my credit score is about 720. I just leased a new car, which is under my name, but again, family is supporting me. So… I feel that I should just file bankruptcy (chapter 7 is what I am thinking) and just live off what I earn for thew next ten years. I own nothing of value, and am on my mom’s lease, and also want to know if they will take away my car when and if I file.

Please, I know everyone says its a "last resort". I am viewing it as such. So if it comes to this, what is the best way to go about filing and hoe much will it cost me financially and also how long does it take? Will my debts be wiped clean? I heard that student loans don’t go away, which is fine by me. Its the credit cards that are about to crush me. I need real advice, not just empty worthless criticism. So please ONLY ANSWER IF YOU HAVE RELIABLE EDUCATED ADVICE.
