How do people accumulate so much in credit card debt?

I only have 1 credit card and it has a 00 limit only. I hear online about people saying they racked up ,000 or ,000 in credit card debt and can’t pay the creditors. My first question is how in the world did a credit company let this happen? And don’t most of these people have credit card limits?

I know for credit cards, you suppose to pay within 30 days or so and if you don’t pay, interest is piled on. But wouldn’t after say 6 months where a person can’t pay off their credit card bills, then the credit card company would shut down their account? I hear people talk about maxing out their credit cards but what in the world are they buying where they rack up credit card debt that is ,000? I mean, you can’t buy a car with that since i don’t think you can buy a car with a credit card right? And don’t most people have limits? I would think most credit card limits are max ,000 a month unless they have a very decent job.

Can someone explain how people rack up so much in credit card debt? Do they get 10 credit cards with 00/month max and then max it every single month for 5-6 months? I understand when people rack up debt in medical bills, student loans, taxes and those things but i just don’t get how can people rack up so much in credit card bills. I mean after a person owes ,000 to the credit card company and can’t pay it back, why would they continue using it? I understand if you use it to buy food and support yourself and your family but do people rack up credit card bills b/c of food? I don’t think so right?

And if a person cannot pay it back, i assume they can file bankruptcy right in the united states? And i hear people talk about fleeing the country because of credit card debt. Do they do so successfully? And usually what countries do they flee to? I’m sure canada isn’t one of them right since you can only say 6 months max? What countries do people flee to? Do they ever get caught? So if they stay there after a certain amount of time, wouldn’t they be there illegally? And since they have to support themselves and make money, wouldn’t the us government know that they are making income and thus could garnish their wages even if they live in the other country? Or do these people just try to make money off the table and just live and hide? I mean, are there people that have huge debt , leave the us and then become successful later on in the country they flee to and then become rich? Because if they do become wealthy, wouldn’t they be caught eventually for fleeing the country? If they then decide to pay back their debt after they made money, would everything be fine or would they face huge penalties for fleeing the country? Or do they just have to stay below the radar and can’t live in a nice place because of it?

I’m very curious about this because i read so much about credit card debt and people leaving the country. I just can’t believe a person could have credit card debt this high because i assume the CC company would freeze their cards after they don’t pay after a few months if the balance is high.

How many more years will it be until California ask for independence from American to be part of Mexico?

400,000 illegals get in every year, you can’t just deport them all because businesses will go bankrupt and eventually they will unite and want rights.

In 10-15 years there will be more illegals in the US than Canadians in Canada.

I wonder how many illegals are having kids which become legal.

When Republicans go bankrupt from medical bills, do they ever blame their own party for it? or stay stupid?

I’ve always known republicans to be hypocrites in the fact that they’re allowed to do things when others aren’t, because they’re always in the right even when they’re wrong. But when their own ideology comes back and smacks them in the face, forcing them to lose their homes over health care costs that they can’t afford, and they find their insurance is just one big scam, is it enough to make them smell the corruption, or do they go off and blame Liberals, mistaking their own party’s policies for that of "the enemy?" I live in Canada so I’m not faced with that situation, but my God, I sure hope that when rednecks in red states suffer, which I’m all too happy to see, they at least realize how they go to that point.

What could this dream mean?

Now this may look long, But when you acually read it, it’s not that long.

Okay so I live in a small Island, Newfoundland, One of Canada’s provinces. And In newfoundland all the old houses are called Saltbox houses, They were very popular in the 19th century. And lot’s of people still live in them today. One thing I don’t understand what people can do, Is live in them. Because they are old, and people died in them for sure. One of my friends lives in one, And 3 people died in it. So I would really hate to LIVE in one. My house is bran new, so No one died in it. I am terrified of ghosts. You will understand why I gave you these details when I tell you my dream. So anyways, In my dream I woke up in a strange bedroom I have never seen befour. It was dark, A candle was lit. So I got out of the bed and walked down the hallway. I heard strange noises thorughout the house, and I seen my dad, So I came up to him and asked him where the fuc/k we were, And he told me this was our new house cause we went bankrupt. So I was like, this house is so creepy I hear noises everywhere. So then I went to me mom’s room, And I seen laying on the bed, talking on the phone with a cigartte in her mouth, and I’m like, Why did this you move into this creepy old house? And she was just like, How is it creepy? It’s fine go back to bed, So I walked back down the hallway and walked past the bathroom, and there was blood pouring out of the shower head. So I ran to my dad yelling " THIS HOUSE IS HAUNTED, WE HAVE TO GET OUT!!!’ But he told me I was being foolish, And once again, Told me to go back to bed. So at that moment, I felt cold arms wrapping arround me, and then I ran into my room. The house was a basement appartment, And no one lived upstairs. But when I went in my room, There was blood leaking from the ceiling and covering my bed, and the floor. So I ran into my mom’s room and told her, and she didn’t believe me and told me to go back to bed. So I argued with her saying I refused to live in the house. So when morning came, wich was right after that, I saw my friend outside and I ran out to see her. I told her what was going on and she said I could sleep in her neighbors camper because she knew them. So when I looked up at the house, It was an old saltbox house. It had broken windows, all the yellow paint was chipped off, Only a few parts were still yellow, Old wooden shutters. It looked horrible. And when I looked in one of the top windows, I see blood splat against it, Followed by somone face hitting it. So me and my friend ran inside and we tried to convince my parents that the house wasn’t safe, And they told me to go away.So that night my sister had her firend over and my sister also didn’t want to be in the house, And I told her about the blood, and the arms wrapping around me, and she got more scared then, Her and her friend slept in my bed. And I when night came I was standing in the kitchen with my mom, and I looked in her room, And blood was leaking through the roof, I yelled at her telling her to look in her room and she did. And she started screaming and told my dad and when He came the blood was gone. He told us we were crazy. I went to sleep in the camper that night and on my way there, I was too scared to look at the house and see what I might see in the windows. So In the morning my mom said she did some research on the house, and appearantly Old families lived there, But one family, would rent out the downstairs to other families, and stay upstairs, and go down and take the familie they rented out too, And skin them and cut them up and torcher them and eat them. And we lived in the downstairs, and there was always blood leakiong through the ceiling, wich would be their floor. So me and my mom tired to convince my dad that we needed to leave, and when I went in the living room, I saw old fashioned faded figures of people sitting on my couch. So we called a preist and he said that we needed to get the spirits out beucase the killers upstairs were evil spirits of the devil, and they were going to kill us and have some other family be left with our blood leaking through their ceiling. So the preist came and got the bad spirits out. But the old newfoundland family spirits were still there, We got the house done up nice and it looked pretty. But the thought of still having ghosts in my house scared the shi/t out of me, So I wouldn’t use the bathroom. So my friend pushed me in the bathroom and locked the door and told me i would befine. Then a tiny mini beaver crawled out of the toilet. And then I picked up the beaver and put it on a shelf. Then I woke up.
And It is acually an interesting dream. Think of it, As reading a horror story.
IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO READ IT, DON’T FUCKIN/G BOTHER ANSWERING.

Can I buy a home after going bankrupt – or is there a better alternative to bankruptcy?

I’m hoping to get some honest answers from either those who have gone through the process, or those who work in finances. And yes, I plan to speak with a professional advisor, but want to get some opinions first. I live in Canada.

Over the past few years, I’ve had some health issues that have made it impossible to work steadily, and I’ve built up way too much debt because of it. I (always) pay my credit cards on time, but I’m only paying the minimum, so the debts aren’t going down at all, plus the payments are made from my overdraft…and recently, I was injured at work and now only make just over half my regular income, so it’s even harder to pay the bills. I don’t know what the best option is for me because my partner and I wish to buy a home in the future but I’ve been set back quite a bit and don’t know where to start. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
