example I talk cach llc down to 500 off of a 1k debt. He says I can pay it with credit car. How can I make sure I get a reciept and that it’s settled. What’s to stop them from taking mhy payment and never sending a reciept? I’ve heard horror stories that they took money and never removed the debt.

I am 23yrs old my debts are from 07 i have a car repossession, 2 credit cards, a loan, a cell phone bill, some medical bills in my credit including a judgment and all that equals out to about 10k in debt. I have dreams of someday owning a house. maybe when I’m 30? but for now i would like to obtain a credit car for everyday expenses. Should i file bankruptcy? I am obviously more conscious about the responsibility and importance of a good credit history that’s why my debts are all from 2007 but idk what steps to take. should i? is it beneficial?

I have a minimal amount of credit car debt less than 10k, but the minmum payments were killing me and I wasn’t getting anywhere with the balance. I joined a credit counseling service and have not ever had a late payment on iut. Now it is on my score as a negative account because of the DMP. My husband and I are doing arefi to pay of my credit cards, and a friend told me that some credit card companies will take a lesser amount to get you to pay it off. I called the first company and they knocked 2K off right off the bat. The next company said they would negotiate a settlement ONLY IF I AM DELINQUENT. Should I let it go delinquent to do a settlement? Will it hurt my credit any more than it already has if it is late???

My wife and I both lost our jobs a month ago and now we’ve decided to head to college together.

–> bad credit car loan about to be repoed, 2 credit cards (i already been sold to collections), apartment bill about to be sent to collections, and some medical bills

Can we get enough aid to pay for college and then for my dental school IF we decided to file bankruptcy?

Also, how much does bankruptcy cost?

Will bankruptcy cover all of the things I’ve listed before?
