When other companies like the airlines and K-mart had problems, they filed for bankruptcy and restructured. They didn’t close their doors. Why don’t the Big 3 do the same?
I worked for a company for 9 years that went bankrupt (in Saskatchewan) One day they told us to leave, closed the doors, and we all lost our job that second, no warning. They owe me ,000 in back pay, now the owner stared a new company doing the same thing, but in the USA. The labour board and my union said they can’t help me, because he moved to the USA. does anyone know any way (laws ect.) to get the money owed to me? (there are about 40 other co workers in the same situation, and we are all helpless)

I heard around the late 90s, Marvel comics nearly went bankrupt and shut its doors. How did this happen? Did DC try to buy them out? How did they bounce back?
US industry GM, Ford, Chrysler, Steel. etc were critical to America surviving and winning WW ll, Korea, etc.
These factories could be bought by Muslims with our money, then the doors shut, workers laid off, the plants dismantled and junked or shipped out of the country. With no defense left for the country, how will we feed all the poor? And stop the barbarians from sacking the country?
I worked for 4 months without getting paid then the doors are closed and bankruptcy is filed? I was on salary and had 10% ownership, which cost me and made me file personal bankruptcy when the company filed. What legal rights do I have? What are my options?
We are forced to close our business due to losing our main customer. We only owe one very large bill which is to an attorney whom we have already paid a lot of money to. We do not have the money to pay him after paying employees and contractors. Would we have to file bankruptcy? or if not, will we some how still have to pay him even after we close our doors?
