how quick should a solicitor reply to my letters?

How quick should a solicitor reply to my letters?
following recent separation (6 months) the divorce goes to court on wednesday, but im getting very slow 2 months+ to my requests for access and my concerns over my children’s safety and well being .
my wifes new partner has no access to his own 4 children not even supervised, yet he has unlimited access to mine , even unsupervised child minding and alike . i keep writing letters to her solicitor who either ignores my letters until after court dates . or is taking at least 2 months to reply.
my 2 girls aged 6 and 8 are both actively encouraged to not visit me on my agreed weekends with offers of weekends away to theme parks and alike.
they are instructed not to tell me anything , to the point they appear very distressed.

on the occasions i do get staying contact, they are very upset about returning home to mummy and her new boyfriend. the last occasion my 8 year old had terrible headache an hour before home time . had to lay on the bed … until she was physically. sick with worry

i have expressed my concerns to both her solicitor and my wife but again my letter fall on deaf ears. i feel the solicitor is acting inappropriately considering the children could be at risk

Additional Details
i cant afford a solicitor, i dont feel a solicitor will act as quickly as i will. i dont qualify for legal aid.

i have a mortgage that my wife has left me with when she went bankrupt, i have all her half of joint debts to pay. .so a solicitor is out of the question .
i have sucsesfully obtained a prohibited steps order to prevent then removing the children from the u.k . access is in the hands of caf cass now . but slow response is really putting my children at risk. there must be a legal requirement, to reply within a set time

How do I settle a debt if the lawyers have it and have served me papers to appear in court?

In November of 2006 my 00 debt with chase bank went into collections. A year later I called a lawyer who told me that if I haven’t been taken to court yet I probably would not. Well almost 3 years later and after the debt has been sold several times, I am being sued by lawyers representing North American Recovery Corp. I was told by Forward Properties (findaccount@gmail.com) that the current owner of my debt was the lawyers and gave me their phone number. I was served papers by the local sheriffs office and am supposed to appear in court on Sept. 24th. The first set of papers said that both parties had to appear on court and then i got a letter from the attorneys today stating they requested from the judge if they could be absent and do a phone conference while I still had to go to court. Is there any way to settle this if the lawyers have it and avoid going to court? The initial balance I owed on the account was just shy of 00.00 and the rest is all late charges and interest. I’m not sure how to attack this, who I should call etc etc, without incurring lawyer expenses of my own. I don’t have a number to contact North American Recovery Corp and cannot find one anywhere on the web. The one search that came up for that name was for another North American Recovery and they said there is another one out there. The debt is orig. from ohio and I now live in florida. Please help me with this headache.
