2/24/2010 the economy is as worse as it was when the economy went down/meltdown. Nothing has changed but thousands of people are still being laid off work each months and thousands of jobs/positions are begining cut/terminated. There are no job new jobs created or positions a reason people are still unemployed. The stimulus money only helped business out of bankruptcy which had become bankrupt because they were mismanaged/corrupt. The leftoiver money from the stimulus were and are given as promotions, wage increase to managers, CEO’s though they did nothing to prevent the company from going bankrupt or help it out of bankruptcy but only the stimilus money did and some people find still the audacity to praise these people though have done nothing. Most data reportng that the govt receives from business/companies are covered up/falsified so False record of money spending and company info occurs,. Stastics are falsified in money spending, hiring practices, employee wages, promotions, embezzelment. As it was when the economy went down, there are only a few jobs available in the job market or the same ones that have existed but for some reason companies have never filled those positions or they just don’t want to fill those postions since mabye they want to make the govt. believe they have new positions available or that they have created jobs. There a thousands of people available who applied for those positons who suprass the requirements for those positions by the way. With companies/jobs they have ways of falsfiying reports at the expense of the community.and half of the info they give to the govt is covered up.Now some jobs have popped up sometimes here and there but might have temporitly come up to fool the govt into believing jobs were created by businesses/companies who received the stimulus money but make no mistake the leftover money are either given as promotions or taken by corrupt CEO’s, manangers, headchiefs, presidents as you may recall the economy went down because of such people and what makes you believe they have changed since most weren’t penalized. In business its take as much as you can take. So in short there are no jobs that have been created with the stimulus money at all though it was the responsiblitiy of those businesses who brought down the economy and later received the stimulus money. Thousands of people have been hired as spammers for websites or businesses which isn’t a job but are recorded as a job in govt reporting. From personnel experience when a job now in the present is offered or available there a thousands waiting in line for it as thousands of people are unemployed. If you don’t believe go to one of these job interviews. I don’t care what you’re parent./relative working in wallstreet or some economical reporting agency says as most stastitics and reporting are incorrect, onesided and inaccurate as most business stasticsis is covered up and falsified. Its the reason the economy went down and should indicate that people aren’t there to look out for the community but themselves to reap millions or dollars or even billions for themselves at the expense of others. Congress isn’t concerned as long as they get money from those business into there pockets. To the disagreeing comments below its from people who haven’t been laidoff yet. Whereas you might be okay with a million some people want to make billions or a much as possible at the expense of others. People don’t get into politics to help out others but help out themselves and relatives.

When i say there are no jobs i mean no jobs and yes i’m excluding those few jobs that have popped out sometimes from those stimulus helped companies that have created those few jobst to let the govt. believe they are creating jobs or those few jobs that some companies have barely been able to make available which are rarely available but pop up sometimes when its available.

What happened to go plain old family values? Why do people think that they can give away a child’s innocence because they made a mistake? The story goes that the man married his daughter off to his "close friend" to settle debts that he had with him. They can only annull the marriage until the girls reaches puberty. That’s messed up. I think the father, the friend and the judge that decided that should all be put in jail. That’s a child!

I am young, and don’t own any property, and have no bills besides a cell phone. I made the mistake of maxing out a credit card when I was 18, and have been referred to a law office by a debt collector. Does this mean I will be going to court? is there anything I can do to avoid going? What should I expect if i go? or don’t go? What are the chances of settling it with the law office before the court date gets set? Any information on the topic would be greatly appreciated.

i made the mistake of buying a house with my dad to remodel it and eventually sell it. we are in the middle of it, and my dad (who has serious anger issues) isn’t getting his way on something and is threatening to file bankruptcy if i don’t do what he wants. what can i do? my name is on the mortgage, i can’t afford the house by myself, but i don’t want to file bankruptcy, i’m on ly 22. i don’t know what to do! does anyone know what my options are? it would be hard to sell the house as is.. one of the bedrooms doesn’t have any flooring, lighting etc, and a bathrooom is the same, we really are in the middle of everything. if anyone could help that would be great. thanks!
we had had an argument yesterday morning, he kept calling me over and over to yell at me, instead of just giving some space to cool off. we were sappossed to be laying tile tonight, but i said that i wouldn’t be so long as he continued to yell, and then he yelled for another hour and a half before i went to work this morning, when i said well since you still want to yell, i won’t be over tongiht, that is when he said he would be filing bankruptcy.

I just started getting my wages garnished from something that happened 8 years ago. Now my family is suffering because of my mistake, and we are now on the verge of becoming homeless and loosing everything. I tried to file bankruptcy, I paid my last 00 and 4 months have gone by. The bankruptcy attorneys will not return my calls and my wife and I are at a loss. We have no more money and we don’t know what to do….any help?

Is it a good or bad? I worked with Creditors directly, but no use.. They never come down on the APR.. still 29.99%. I never missed on payments.. Only bad thing I did for 2 cards are I forgot to remove the automatic payment option from my old checking account in May and Jun.. With that mistake, they gone up on my APR’s and missing payments. They will review my account only after 12 months of ontime payments… ? So, I started working with various debt consolidation companies, they offered for 0 / 36 months which includes(0 for the company).. But in their terms, they cannot guarantee any.. Can we trust such of these companies? When I calculate, I am not even paying all to the credit cards…Not sure if its a good practice? What happens to the credit score and profile if continue with Debt Mgt companies? Please share if any had any past experience or any suggestions .. Thanks in advance

Here’s an interesting situation. I was out of the country and thought I paid my balance in full, but money sat in my bank account for a few months not moving. I’ve never had a late fee in my life, but I am young and don’t really have much to have credit built on yet.

Anyway, I was out of the country like I said, and the account went 5 months past due with just very small payments automatically paid. However, they weren’t enough, and it now shows up as 4 months delinquent. The late fees made it where I don’t have quite the money to pay in full, but I can get help from relatives to pay in full now. However, my account was sent to collects, but it was not charged off. The collections company said they were only contracted to help the creditor. It was not charged off.

They offered a settlement to me that is about ,000 less than the full amount, and I really need money right now. Should I take the settlement or pay in full? I am worried about my credit being hurt more, but I also spent too much money on someone I thought I was going to marry. I certainly won’t make that mistake again because now I have trouble paying for gas and food.

I have made a huge mistake and made a verbal agreement over phone to put money in my bank account for the collector to pull out the payment for today, and didn’t have a dime in the account. I tried renegotiating with them, but they are very misunderstanding and disrespectful. I don’t have the money to pay off a settled debt of 48.00. The original debt was 08.00. They did send me a notice and the phone call was recorded. I do want to pay off this debt but i just dont trust giving my information to rude, disrespectful people. I know they just want their money, but how can I make this work? Can I just ignore their calls until I do come up with the money? And what can happen to me? I can’t go to jail can I?
now that ill have bad credit at 19 years old, what can I do to get it back up? and what can i do about my bank account? i’m afraid of putting any money in there now that they have my information. can i just close it?

when i spoke with the"JERK" of a guy on the phone he said "Oh we were told by our managers that those letters were sent out by mistake and really we can only take 35% of your debt owed"?? First of all the debt is for 6.04..and really i dont even remember this credit card they say i had? He asked from my phone # i told him they already have it cuz they call me twice a day already…he said no i dont have it and i just hung up!! Can they do this? What are my options?

I have so much debt. I can pay for my house mortgage and my car payment but it’s my credit card bills that kill. I have been choosing to pay only my mortgage and car bills. What can I do? I know I can’t make payments on my cards without it effecting me being able to pay for my house and car. Can I file for Bankruptcy? I know I made a mistake charging up a storm. I have about 6 credit cards way past due. Most of them are in collection agencies. The highest balance I have on any card is around ,300. All together less than ,500. This law firm called me and informed me that they will get a jugdement against me and garnish my wages if I do not settle the debt(this account has balance of around 0) I DO WANT TO PAY BACK. But I have a small job and planning to go back to school!!!Will a judgement deny me a US passport? Do you think they will go to court for such a low debt??? People with much higher debt get away from it. I do accept my mistake though

I am not sure why Toyota is handling the foot pedal recall like this.
I’ve had Audi and GM, and it was never about hyping up and advertising the problem exist, never mind apologies from the CEO.

In my area the CEP of Toyota has taken out a full page ad on the NY times asking Toyota owners from 2001 to present to come in for a replacement pedal as well as paying for prime time air on the radio to personally apologize.

Do they want to go bankrupt? This is not how a corporation should handle a mistake?

I did not understand what a debt settlement company was all about. I thought I did but I soon found out it was not what I thought. I have made a mistake! They have a lot of my money and I thought I was doing the right thing. I just want to get my bill paid. Thank you.
