I got a loan from Citybank. They say that since is not in collection yet and they are a company part of the bank, they cannot give a "pay for delete" letter. When we were almost done with the negotiation they said that they couldn’t do it even if was going to be a deal breaker
Can I still get this letter or they can’t really do it?
Is this going to show for 7 years since I first stopped paying or since we settled?

i contacted a debt consultant and was told that i can decrease more than half of what i currently owed the credit card. but the program required me to stop making paying and wait for their negotiation. i know that’s going to affect my credit really bad, but how about after i settled all the debt, would my credit comes back up? i am planning to buy a house in the near future, would the lender see this as a negative? or should i not use to program if i am planning to buy a house?
The credit card account was closed and the collection agency offered me a debt settlement for 1500 dollars less. I took the option and paid off the account. They sent me a letter saying account was satisfied. However I lost that letter. Now I need it for employment purpose because they want to make sure I don’t owe money. Will the credit card company still be able to fax me a letter saying account was settled?
It’s not showing that I owe money. I had to mention to my employer if I "made negotiation with creditor". I answered yes and in details provided that I paid off the debt settlement. Now my employer just need proof of that payment.
