I’m planning to file for personal bankruptcy and none of the law firms will quote me a price on what the cost will be. Could anyone please inform me of a good bankruptcy lawyer available at the lowest price available. Thanks

I lost my job about 2 years ago and have not found another work. I have several bills, have depleted my savings, and need to file a personal bankruptcy. How much will it cost me?

As citizens we are told to "live within our means" and "cut back". If you need to file a personal bankruptcy because you lose your job or you have through the roof medical bills people look down on you. BUT if a corporation gets in over their heads they just file bankruptcy and reorganize. If they are really lucky the government steps in and takes care of their financial problems. Why is this the accepted norm?

may be facing the situation of going thru personal bankruptcy. i am married and both myself and spouse work and file jointly on taxes. everything that has to do w/ the bankruptcy is in my name alone; spouse is not listed on anything. my question is this; since i alone will be filing bankruptcy do i have to include my spouses income on the paperwork? if so, i may not qualify for the chapter 7 and would have to go thru the "means test" to see if i qualify and our combined income may be to high. state we live is GA. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thx

I have a judgment lien on a residential investment property that I own 25% of. This is the only RE that I own. The mortgage on the property is 5k, the lien is 0k and the property is valued at 0k. If I file personal bankruptcy (Chapter 7), will the lien be removed? What if I sell my share to my partners, do they have to pay the full amount of the lien? Does the lien remain with the property even though I sold my share?

Not business bankruptcy, personal bankruptcy. If a married couple were filing, would they have to file seperately or together?

I am severely underemployed, making minimum wage, 20 hours per week. I used to make more money and was given credit which I used, to the tune of ,000 in unsecured debt. Between my rent and utilities expenses, I can’t make my minimum payments to my creditors. I am striving to improve my employment status, but until I succeed with that, what can I do? I have no assets to sell and {content} to pay to debt consolidators and in payment plans. Is there any way to put my debt off for a few more months, or should I start thinking seriously about personal bankruptcy?

I worked for 4 months without getting paid then the doors are closed and bankruptcy is filed? I was on salary and had 10% ownership, which cost me and made me file personal bankruptcy when the company filed. What legal rights do I have? What are my options?
