My attorney is a jerk? Can I go it alone?

I’m working with an attorney to file Bankruptcy. I looked for others but each want a consultation and that is very time consuming with an 8 month old. I have went to a couple consultations and everyone else wants at least 00 to do the same thing this guy will do for 5. (i suppose you get what you pay for, but he is part of a very large well known firm) How hard is it to do it yourself? File Bankruptcy?
What I meant was, each wants a consultation BEFORE they will quote me a price.

Has anyone filed bankruptcy with a do it yourself kit?

If so which brand did you use and would you recommend it? How time consuming was it and did it have an adverse effect on your life?
