So, the dreaded question… File bankruptcy or not?

I was kicked out of my house at a young age (16 to be exact), and the only thing that helped me not be homeless was the dreaded credit card, since there’s only so much money a 16 year old can make.

So now with the credit debt, the school loan debt, the car payments, etc etc, I am in over my head (over 15k). My question… Should I file bankruptcy or not? Also, should I file Chapter 7? Also, what would the best attorney for me be? (I was looking at Peter Francis Geraci, but I can’t find anyone that has filed with him). Also, what is the time frame i’m looking at till I CAN actually file bankruptcy (I heard it takes over 2 years?)

Please, ANY help will be beneficial. I wasn’t a "bad kid" that got kicked out into the streets… I built myself a life in a state by myself and tried making it, but unsuccessfully.

Got a debt settlement letter in the mail today of a prior debt years ago. Gives me 3 payment options but I was wondering if i can still send or ask for a pay for deletion? Also would it have to be within the time frame of the settlement date in order to still qualify for the agreement if i send the letter anyway?
the account is 3 years … i believe its 7 in order to get wiped off correct?

Question, About 5 years ago, I got in a situation I was unable to get myself out of and Filed for Bankruptcy. In addition to Credit Cards I filed on a Loan I got from a Local Bank. After the Finalization of the Bankruptcy, I got a not so nice letter from the Bank Manager, basically stating I am NEVER allowed to bank there again, Understandable… BUT… is there any loop holes.. I loved that bank, I even called to ask if I could pay it off,and they said yes, but it is too much for me at this time… But do the Banks records ever Expire? Like is there a MAX time frame they hold onto documents? Lets say I went back there in 10 years.. would they STILL have my bankruptcy on file and deny me service? ** If I haven’t pd them back** – THANKS

my friend file a chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2005 and has now been out of work for a year and a half.
Is it to early for him to be able to file for bankruptcy? what’s the time frame from being able to file for another bankruptcy I guess, is what I want to know? and if chapter 7 the best one for him?

My Boxer pup continuously gets onto our table in our house whenever we are not home. We came back home tonight, after we thought we moved everything from out of her reach, to find that she has chewed a Tylenol Sinus box, and had eaten a 1 and half of the pills. I know that Tylenol can be dangerous for dogs, and I know Tylenol Sinus is also, my question is how many does it take to cause toxicity caused by Tylenol Sinus? Also, what symptoms will become present? And how long before I can start noticing these symptoms? The local 24 hour vet service costs several hundred dollars, and so I want make sure of a time frame before I got bankrupt going to the 24 hour vet.

I filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy case in kentucky. I did it all by myself because i couldn’t afford a lawyer. The reason it was dismissed is because i failed to take the credit counseling course within the time frame. (I didn’t know you had to wait 180 days after taking the test to file). Anyway, my question is how long do i wait to refile. do i have to wait 6 months from the time i filed or 6 months from the time it was dismissed? Seriously need help!

Can i reset the 30 days, telling them i can’t make the full payment within this time frame, but rather settle next month instead ? can i call them and do this ?
it was a sears card 00 max. I guess interest grew to 00, with 6 months no payment with Sears, and then 31/2 years collections. It grew to 00 total after roughly 4 years.

What should the settlement be ratio? Does 00 sound alright ?
or they can settle for less ? i have only 0 ?
Does settling credit card debt affect my credit score ? Currently paying on Student loan, monthy.
This would up my score, wouldn’t ?

OK I live in Georgia and I filed Ch.7 about 2 years ago……..no I got myself into a mess again and was wondering if I could file Ch.13……..is there a time frame on which you have to wait to file again?

If i file bankruptcy and afterwards an item appears on my credit from before will it get removed? I want to file bankruptcy but i have a few things that still have not gone on my credit yet and i do not want to wait for them to go on, to get on with my life. So if i file now and they go on my credit afterwards will they get removed, and if so what is the time frame after i file on which it can still be counted?
