What happens to my credit if I decide not to continue with my intention to file for Chapter 13?
I file for Chapter 13 several weeks ago and now every account in my credit report is listed as part of the Chapter 13 plan and there is record of the Chapter 13 been filled with the court. They plan hasn’t been confirmed. What happens if I decide to withdraw the filling? can I do this? what happens to my credit? and how my possibilities to (ie. apply for an apartment) be affected?

You filed… you take the hit regardless.
Regardless of disposition, you will be dealing with the filing’s ramifications for at least the next 10 years…

February 24th, 2010 at 7:08 pmThe moment you file, your credit will show that you filed. Regardless of what you do now, you DID file bankruptcy. Your credit report WILL show that for 10 years.
