what should i do to fix/ repair my credit?
i couple of years back i brought a car that i couldnt afford. i returned the car a voluntary repo and that is on my credit. The Lender now wants to garnish my wages to pay back the loan. I do not want to file bankruptcy I would like to know if there are any alternatives to help me with this debt and the other things on my report because now i’m a position where I have enough money to repair and repay the thingson my credit.
There is no fast way to do this. But there is an uncomplicated way. Pay all of your debt before you rebuild your credit.
Now that you have income, concentrate all your efforts on having every debt on your credit report read a zero balance. Once you have paid off all current and old debt, then and only then is it time to start rebuilding your credit.
One thing to consider is that bankruptcy is not as bad as you probably think it is. Especially if you qualify for a Chapter 7. A Chapter 7 bankruptcy makes you completely debt free over night. No one can sue you, garish your wages, call you, nothing. You have zero debt.
You have to consider that if someone is threatening a wage garnishment, your credit is already bad. A bankruptcy won’t make it worse, it fact it may improve it. It’s better to have bad credit with no debt, than to have bad credit with loads of debt and collectors threatening lawsuits.
October 19th, 2009 at 9:29 amI have been to "many" different credit repair sites on the web. Some were pretty good and some were pretty bad. I refuse to use a website that requires a fee to get their credit repair info when there is great free sites on the web.. I’m listing the best site that I’ve ever been to.

It is a "free" do it yourself credit repair site. I have learned so much by reading and asking questions on that site. And, I have seen "significant" improvement on my credit reports after learning my rights and using them.Don’t pay for information that you can find for free.
