When Republicans go bankrupt from medical bills, do they ever blame their own party for it? or stay stupid?

I’ve always known republicans to be hypocrites in the fact that they’re allowed to do things when others aren’t, because they’re always in the right even when they’re wrong. But when their own ideology comes back and smacks them in the face, forcing them to lose their homes over health care costs that they can’t afford, and they find their insurance is just one big scam, is it enough to make them smell the corruption, or do they go off and blame Liberals, mistaking their own party’s policies for that of "the enemy?" I live in Canada so I’m not faced with that situation, but my God, I sure hope that when rednecks in red states suffer, which I’m all too happy to see, they at least realize how they go to that point.

#1 – Substitute the word "Democrat" for Republican(or "Canadian", for that matter)and the conclusion is the same.
#2 – Since you’re Canadian, your views just might be a bit skewed and inaccurate.
#3 – Save your judgments for your own government.

    You’re talking about Republicans here.

OF COURSE they stay stupid…and / or simply "Blame Clinton".

they probably curse the slip and fall lawyers like Edwards who are driving docs out of practice and making the cost of practice so expensive for those left and they blame the illegals that come flood our hospitals and don’t pay for it.

Why accept guilt if you can blame.

No we do the adult thing and blame ourselves.

I can blame the government for getting us into this situation in the first place. With the advent and mandation of HMOs and PPOs we were set to fail. The government can no better control costs than private industry. In fact, if the government would never have mandated these things – there would be much more competition and much greater doctor patient relationships. Lift the mandates and watch competition explode. I blame nobody for the current problem but the government that created it.

No. You see, it’s one of those little conservative values that separates us from liberals. We believe strongly in personal responsibility and do not blame others for our problems or mistakes. Nor do we, as you do up in Canada, look to our government to take care of us. We moved out of mommy and daddy’s house long ago.

    But thanks for asking.

Will paleodraw move to the US so he actually has a stake in this discussion or will he just stay stupid?

This is like the question "Have you stopped beating your wife?". The true answer is not given as an option because the asker is ignorant.

If you live in Canada what do you care? Just two weeks ago I was in a meeting in Canada and we were talking about various things. One of the Canadians said "We may have health care, but we are taxed to death. And it takes me months to get a doctor’s appointment".

We are not a socialist state. Get your facts first and you won’t look so foolish.

We just don’t believe socialized medicine is the answer, McCain has it right, more competition less regulation on insurance companies.

I don’t want the government running anything of mine, especially my health….I can’t imagine why you want to give up yours to some politician….
